A stoneware base hand-built in my Oakland studio from two clay varieties marbled together, finished with unpolished brass hardware and a handmade oiled kraft paper shade. The marbling is different on every base, so expect variation in pattern, form, and texture from the lamp pictured.
Light passes through the oiled paper with an amber glow, while the swirled clay below keeps the base quietly detailed. It suits a bedside table, a desk, or a corner that needs warmth.
